Samudrer Fena Yena - Srila Prabhupada by Ananda Lila das (Ajay Wadekar)
Song Name : Samudrera Phena Yena Official Name : Vrndavane Bhajana Author : A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Book Name : Gaudiya Patrika Description This Vaishnava Song of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is called “Vrindavane Bhajana” and is taken from the book “Gaudiya Patrika”. Srila Prabhupada compares this material world as temporary as the foam on the waves in ocean arising and dissolving. All the material possessions and relationships live as brief as the froth on the ocean waves. The elements of the body merge back in “Panchamahabhuta”, the five elements in this material world just like foam on waves vanishes in ocean waters. (1) samudrera phenā yena kṣaṇe sṛṣṭi loy māyār saḿsāre khelā sei bhāve hoy Just as foam arises in the ocean and dissolves in a moment, the play of illusion in the material is just like that. (2) keho nahe pitā mātā ātmīya svajana sabāi phenāra mata thāke alpa-kṣaṇa There is no mother, father, relateive, or family. Everyone, like the foam in an ocean, only remains for a brief moment. (3) samudrera phenā yemona samudre miśāya pañca bhūtera deha tathā haye jāy laya Just as foam in the ocean mixes with the ocean, likewise, the five elements of the body merges again after it dies. (4) koto deha ei bhāve dharaye śarīrī anitya śarīre mātra ātmīyā tāhāri In this manner, how many bodies has the spirit soul entered? Their relatives are temporarily related to the body.
