Migrated to Bombay, India in 1947. He did his early education from a very prestigious school and college in Mumbai, then after that He completed his graduation in Dental Surgery from Nair Hospital Dental College, University of Mumbai, in 1968. He started practicing dentistry at the age of 21. Wound up his practice in 1986 at the age of 40 and joined ISKCON full time as a preacher. He traveled to the USA and UK to preach Krishna Consciousness. He has held various responsibilities in ISKCON Chowpatty and is a resident of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir since its inception in 1986 and is one of the senior counselors. He is a Trustee of the Bhaktivedanta Hospital, Sri Chaitanya Seva Trust, Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Bhakta Samaj, Sri Tulsi Trust, ISKCON New Vrindavan East and Sri Govardhan Trust. He was a member of the Governing Body Commission (GBC) of ISKCON Worldwide and the GBC Secretary from the year 2000 to 2005. He was a Charter Member and President of Lions Club of Vile Parle East for 1980 - 81. He is an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Mumbai North End. He is the Administrative Advisor and CEO of Annamrita Foundation which is providing Mid Day Meals to more than 12 lac school children every day under the brand name of Annamrita.
