Before joining ISKCON, she was a devotee and preacher of Saint Tukaram. She came in contact with ISKCON in 1988 in Mumbai under the guidance of her brother Akrur Das (Dr. Ashok Potdar, former Joint Director of Maharashtra Health Services). She completed her higher school education. Once her family shifted back to Latur, she was the only devotee in Latur district. So his brother guided her to start preaching in Latur district in 1996 in Srila Prabhupada's centennial appearance year. Currently she is guiding around 500 devotees in devotional path in Latur and around places.
