Boat festival organized by ISKCON New Zealand | 9th June 22 | HKTV NEWS #shorts

Coinciding with Easter 2022 celebrations in New Zealand, was a beautiful padyatra and a boat festival organized in Te Waipounamu by ISKCON Christchurch devotees. Sri Jagannath, Baladev, and Subhadra were rowed along the Avon river on Good Friday while Sri Sri Nitai-Gaurachandra accompanied Them on a tricycle along the footpath. Two days later on Easter Sunday, Sri SriNitai-Gaurachandra were rowed along the Heathcote river as the small murtis of Sri Jagannath, Baladev, and Subhadra travelled on the tricycle. Around 70 local devotees sang and danced to the Hare Krishna Mahamantra jubilantly alongside Them all. This joyous event culminated with a swing festival for Sri Sri Radha-Kunjabihari followed by scrumptious prasad for all. The devotees of ISKCON perform various such services for the pleasure of the Lord. You can also participate in such celebrations at your nearest ISKCON temple.
