ISKCON has managed to make a favorable impression in the state Maharashtra as a result of its efforts in temple construction, preaching Krishna Bhakti in line with the teachings of The Gita and undertaking various social welfare initiatives. ISKCON has time and again received accolades from senior politicians and the general public. Recently, His Grace Brajendranandan Prabhu, Communication Director of ISKCON, and His Grace Lochan Krishna Prabhu from ISKCON Kharghar along with His Grace Advaita Chandra Prabhu met Maharashtra CM Sri Eknath Shinde, and apprised him of the ongoing work of ISKCON in Maharashtra. They also informed him of the under construction ISKCON temple in Kharghar. Shri Eknath Shinde ji appreciated the mission and vision of ISKCON across the world and assured full cooperation in future. It is hoped that this meeting will give a boost to ISKCON’s preaching efforts in Maharashtra, thereby strengthening mutual cooperation.
