Harinaam sankirtan organized till Golden Temple Harinaam sankirtan is the cornerstone of the ISKCON movement. Devotees all over the world perform congregational chanting of The Holy Names of The Lord, thereby spreading the glories of The Lord in every town and village. Recently, devotees from ISKCON Amritsar were invited by SGPC that is Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to perform harinaam sankirtan on the auspicious occassion of Gurunanak Jayanti. This is the largest and most prominent organization responsible for the management of Gurdwaras in India. It is a matter of great honor for ISKCON to be invited for such an important event of the Sikh community. This sankirtana started from Bhai Vir Singh Hall on Lawrence Road at 6:45 am and ended at Shri Harminder Sahib Ji, popularly known as the Golden Temple, an extremely holy site for the Sikhs. In this sankirtan, senior officers of SGPC and other Sikh devotees along with ISKCON devotees performed Harinam sankirtan on the streets of Amritsar. This was indeed a wonderful display of peaceful coexistence among religions thereby attracting the grace of The Lord.
