जय दामोदर प्रभु का जन्म एक ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ था और उनका पालन-पोषण एक बहुत ही धार्मिक और पवित्र घराने में हुआ था। वह एक धार्मिक उपदेशक और शिक्षक हैं, वे विशेष रूप से महाभारत के अपने आख्यानों के लिए जाने जाते हैं। उन्होंने रामायण, महाभारत, श्रीमद्भागवतम, बृहद भगवतमृत, लघु भगवतमृत, भगवद गीता, उपनिषद, वेदांत सूत्र, और वैष्णव ज्ञानमीमांसा (प्रामन तत्त्व) और ऑन्कोलॉजी (प्रमेय तत्त्व) जैसे विभिन्न शास्त्रों पर व्यापक सार्वजनिक व्याख्यान और सेमिनार दिए हैं। उन्होंने मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने कई कंपनियों में 12 साल तक काम किया। अपने कॉलेज के प्रथम वर्ष के दौरान, उन्हें इस्कॉन में भक्तों के साथ जुड़ने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ। उन्होंने वैदिक ज्ञान के सार की गहरी समझ के साथ कृष्ण भावनामृत के संदेश को फैलाने के लिए अपना जीवन समर्पित कर दिया है। Jay Damodar Prabhu was born in a Brahmin family and raised in a very religious and pious household. He is a preacher and a teacher, He is especially known for his narrations of Mahabharata. He has delivered extensive public lectures and seminars on varied sastras like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Srimad Bhagavatam, Brihad Bhagavatamrita, Laghu Bhagavatamrita, Bhagavad Gita, Upanisads, Vedanta Sutras, and Vaisnava epistemology (pramana tattva) and ontology (prameya tattva). He did his bachelors in mechanical engineering. Thereafter he worked with several companies for 12 years. During the first year of his college, he had a good fortune of coming in association of devotees at ISKCON. He has dedicated his life to spread the message of Krishna consciousness with his deep understanding of the essence of all Vedic knowledge.
