Recipe - Laccha Paratha

INGREDIENTS: - 1. 1 cup wheat flour/atta 2. 1/2 cup all purpose flour 3. 1 to 2 tsp ghee or oil 4. Salt as required 5. Water as required for kneading 6. Ghee or oil as required for applying on the dough as well as roasting METHOD: - 1. Combine all the dry ingredients for the dough. add ghee and water in parts. knead to form a smooth dough. add more water if required for the dough. 2. Take a medium sized ball of dough. roll it into 6 to 7 inches diameter disc on a dusted rolling board. 3. Cut the rolled atta half the way (3-4 inches in radius) 4. Start rolling it from the cut edge and again press it to a small ball. 5. Again roll it and apply ghee or oil on it and dust it with dry flour. 6. Now roll the disc from one end to another. 7. Then twist the rolled atta into a coil shape and roll it again with the rolling pin. 8. Heat the tava and place the paratha on the tava. 9. Turn the paratha when one side is partly cooked. apply ghee on this side. cook for a minute. 10.Now turn again and apply ghee on the other side. 11.Flip again for a couple of times, till the parathas are browned evenly and well cooked. press the sides with the spatula while frying the parathas. 12.Alternatively, you could also add some ghee on the tava and then fry the lachedar parathas.
